Dahle 550 Rotary Paper Cutter
Answer:

The Dahle 550 Rotary Paper Cutter is a professional-grade machine intended for medium-volume paper trimming use. It’s especially suited for home crafts, including greeting cards and photo trimming. Although the rotary blade is sharp, it is housed in a sturdy plastic cover, thus ensuring absolute safety.

The cutter features a ground, rotating upper blade, and a ground lower blade. The rotary blade on the trimmer is self-sharpening, thanks to the cutting action against the lower table blade. This model does not come with changeable blades; however, you can always order the replacement blade assembly kit for about $79.

Need Paper Trimmer for Graphic Design Print Jobs

Posted by: Morgan on February 11th, 2010

Question:

Good afternoon,

I was reviewing your products and am not sure what would be the right products for my needs. I am a graphic designer and I also supply printing to my clients. I often need tickets and business cards cut, as well as other types of printed products.

Paper used 8.5″ x 11″ up to 12″ x 18″, 100 lb gloss, 70lb text, 20 lb, with and without coating, 1 – 40 pages 1 up to 12 up on a page with and without crop Tamerica GuilloMax Plus Manual Paper Cuttermarks. I want to be able to trim quickly and “accurately.” I need something that I can trim multiple pages with ease in a single cut.

I don’t have a lot of money. What items do you suggest?

Katherine R.

Answer:

We recommend the Tamerica GuilloMax Plus Manual Paper Cutter. This is a precise stack cutter loaded with high-end features, and best of all it’s affordable. The GuilloMax Plus is a guillotine-style cutter, capable of cutting through 800 sheets of paper at once. That’s almost two reams of paper!

The cutter uses a unique laser guide to complete high-precision cutting jobs. The wheel-driven paper clamp, that holds your stack of paper firmly in place, looks much like a submarine hatch. This helps reduce slipping and cutting errors. The GuilloMax Plus is not only accurate, but very safe to use.

Hot Foil Stamper and Foil Fuser Questions

Posted by: Morgan on February 5th, 2010

Question:

Hi,

I am trying to make inquiries about the Hot Foil Stamper / Foil Fuser machines. I am looking for something that is easy to use and also fast. Really need to know what the different types are and why I should get one Kwikprint Builder Model 55 Foil Stamperinstead of the other. It will be used mainly for Napkins (weddings, birthdays, events)etc. This machine will be used on electricity power volt of 220v…I am new at this and really don’t need anything complicated.

Thank you.
Bola

Answer:

We recommend the Kwikprint Builder Model 55 foil stamping machine. The model 55 will meet the needs of most entry level hot stamping jobs. The machine may be converted (for an additional fee) to work in locations with 220v power.

Because of its rather simple design, this unit may be easily upgraded with plenty of accessories and attachments. This foil stamper is ideal for several hot stamping projects such as wedding napkins, award ribbons, plastic badges, stationery, cards, document folders, small leather items, acetate, bibles, pencils and and promotional items.

If you intend to use your hot foil stamping machine mainly for imprinting on napkins, then the model 55 is the way to go. You also asked about our foil fusing machines. Foil fusers are used to apply foil to laser-printed documents such as certificates, diplomas and awards. If you plan to produce a significant amount of these type of items, then a foil fuser will save you time, and it comes highly recommended.

Shrink Wrap Heat Gun Overheating

It Shrink Wrap Heat Gunshuts off after about 10 minutes and then cools down for 20 minutes and then works again. This has happened 3 times recently. Can you tell me if there is anything I can do?

Thanks,

Randy G.

Your shrink wrap heat gun is clearly overheating. Our shrink heat guns come equipped with adjustable temperatures. Try turning the heat temperature down a little to see if that corrects the problem. Or, there could be an issue with the sensor in your heat gun. You can always contact Office Zone’s service department for troubleshooting help or a possible repair.

Posted by: Morgan on February 1st, 2010

Question:

Hello, I looked at your site and you have a lot of products. I’m looking for a cheap & simple way to record employee arrival and departure times so I know how much to pay them monthly. I have just 4 employees.
TimeTrax Pro Employee Time Clock
I’m thinking along the lines of a card for each one, or a unique code to punch in. If inexpensive times could be sent weekly by e-mail (I’m away from company 6 months a year, staggered). Please advise what the best solution is and what most small companies do.

MANY THANKS,

Joe D.

We do carry an employee time clock system that fulfills all of your requirements. We wouldn’t exactly file this specific time clock under the “cheap” category, but it’s certainly simple to use and definitely worth the investment.
