Our office has a Destroyit 2602 SMC that has a continuous oil feed container. How often do you need to stop shredding to let the motor cool down? Meaning….. can you shred for long periods of time without stopping

Answer:
As long as you follow the manufacturer’s sheet capacity recommendations — and don’t feed in too much paper — the Destroyit 2602 SMC is designed to run continuously without the need for a cool down period. The model 2602 SMC can shred up to 10 sheets of paper at a time. The motor is thermally protected; that means as long as the shredder is properly oiled, there shouldn’t be any problems.
