I’ve often said something to the effect of, “someone should invent a machine that…” I wonder how often someone already had, and I just didn’t know. Following are some examples of such innovation:
1. Paper shredders that shred a lot more than paper – It had never occurred to me that I could shred certain discs in order to protect myself, same as paper.
2. Counterfeit detection – Some money counters have a built-in device that can read and determine the authenticity of bills.
3. Laminators with auto-adhesion www.officezone.com/xyronapp.htm – This is especially useful for scrapbooking. I could laminate my own pictures and paste them to something without using glue.
4. Folder inserters – a seemingly magical machine that can fold an envelope, insert the document and seal it automatically.
These are just a few features that impressed me. If you’re wondering if a machine exists that can make your life easier, the answer is most likely yes.
