Did you know the little posts that form lines and mark boundaries for businesses and events have a name? They’re called stanchions and they’re all too often taken for granted. For most of us, stanchions are just landmarks that indicate exactly when we stop being concert patrons and start being concert trespassers, but have you ever wondered where they came from? Hard as it may be to believe, stanchions are not actually the native inhabitants of whatever building we find them in. If department stores sold them, they wouldn’t tie two shopping carts together to corral their customers. The best way to purchase a stanchion is to order them online. Office Zone has a line of stanchions with varying features such as single or double line belts, rubber bases and gold, silver, or copper coloring. So, if your crowd ever outnumbers your help, check out our stanchions. Now that you know what they’re called, the hard part is over.

Office Zone Presents, “Stanchions”–So That’s What You Call’em
Posted by: admin on March 27th, 2008Hold Your Licker–Efficiency With Folder/Inserters From Office Zone
Posted by: admin on March 24th, 2008The average office does not employ an “envelope licker” or “letter inserter.” These are not careers, but menial tasks that detract from the more cognitive responsibilities of office personnel. Folder inserter are simple but revolutionary machines that perform these and other tedious tasks, so the office worker can concentrate on the things that he/she was hired to do. A quality machine has several paper fold variations, the capacity to insert hundreds of pieces of paper per hour and a moisturizing envelope sealer that is as clean as any printer. A folder/inserter never took anyone’s job, it merely improves the job of anyone who has to fold a letter, stick it in an envelope and then seal it, either by licking it, or by using an unsanitary sponge.

Reducing Office Stress Through Machinery
Posted by: admin on March 20th, 2008Organizing an office on an individual basis can be anywhere from challenging to impossible. Every office has at least one “messy guy” whose desk has seagulls hovering over it. Unless your office wants to bulldoze his workspace and put a putting green over the top of it, your hands are pretty much tied. You can however, organize the office on a more general basis with machines that are intended to simplify the workday. Paper cutters, folder/sealers, and binding machines are easy but effective resources that can reduce office stress.

Novel Features
Posted by: admin on March 17th, 2008I’ve often said something to the effect of, “someone should invent a machine that…” I wonder how often someone already had, and I just didn’t know. Following are some examples of such innovation:
1. Paper shredders that shred a lot more than paper – It had never occurred to me that I could shred certain discs in order to protect myself, same as paper.
2. Counterfeit detection – Some money counters have a built-in device that can read and determine the authenticity of bills.
3. Laminators with auto-adhesion www.officezone.com/xyronapp.htm – This is especially useful for scrapbooking. I could laminate my own pictures and paste them to something without using glue.
4. Folder inserters – a seemingly magical machine that can fold an envelope, insert the document and seal it automatically.
These are just a few features that impressed me. If you’re wondering if a machine exists that can make your life easier, the answer is most likely yes.

Paper Folder Sealers
Posted by: Morgan on March 6th, 2008Question:
Do you have a machine that will take an 8-1/2 x 11 document, fold it in half and seal it for mailing. Staples are not an option. What comical equipment if any would you recommend.
Thomas L.
Answer:
Yes, we have folding/sealing machines that can handle that for you. You may find several models on this page.
Paper folders/sealers are paper folding machines designed for high-volume letter folding and envelope/document sealing. These letter folders can fold letters, form them in self-adhesive envelopes, and then seal the envelopes. Please keep in mind that the paper you are using must have some sort of adhesive (glue) on it in order for this to work for your application.
Folding paper and then sealing it shut is a rather simple process with these paper folding machines. They are ideal for direct mailing jobs, monthly billing statements, invoices, bank mailings … you name it.
